This yarn is a limited edition under the label of Ethereal Medusa, which is a joint venture by Cat & Sparrow Fibres and Melbourne City Dyeworks. The aim is to celebrate Australian wool and bring about an all round yarn that is suitable for a wide range of purposes.
All fibres came from small farms in Australia and it is entirely processed and sustainably milled in Australia too, every step is traceable.

This is a paddock-to-yarn item, 100% grown and produced in Australia. The fibre came from NSW, processed and spun in Victoria and hand dyed by yours truly in Melbourne.
Bond Merino fibre is bouncy and of medium micron, it maintain the softness from Merino and yet more resilient due to the cross from Lincoln.
This yarn is of 3 ply construction, has a fully body and very good insulation. It is suitable for a wide range of uses.

Hand wash only. Non-superwash.
The Burst cowl, like the other designs in the Burst series, is specifically designed to highlight the very best of what variegated yarns have to offer, wonderful blending of many colours, as well as an opportunity for every colour to have its chance to shine.
This cowl is worked flat on the bias, and then seamed at the back neck. It is a wonderfully relaxing knit (no purling, you're welcome), and it creates a cowl with a flattering shape that is comfortable to wear.
It is super-relaxing to knit, engaging with short sections that make you want to keep knitting and enjoying your yarn, and has simple stitchwork for ease and fun.
This pattern contains full written instructions with stitch counts for every row, and a tick-sheet showing all the details (including colour-placement) to work the whole pattern from once started.

It is worked flat on the bias, and then seamed at the back neck creating a cowl with a flattering shape that is comfortable to wear. Just throw it on and look immediately styled!

This glorious hand-dyed aran yarn is spun exclusively for Cat & Sparrow UK by the lovely team at John Arbon Textiles. It's a super-squishy blend of Bluefaced Leicester and Alpaca, and it's unbelievably soft and warm.

This unique blend of all round yarn is produced in Australia under the label of Ethereal Medusa, a collaboration between Cat & Sparrow Fibres AU and Melbourne City Dyeworks. It has the perfect balance of being hardwearing yet still soft and woolly.
