Rambouillet is also known as French Merino, it is a heritage breed that started during Louis VXI’s reign and it was originated in Spain. It has a soft handle with a micron range of 18-24, it has medium staple length of 5-10cm. The spun yarn has a tendency to bloom thus provide excellent insulation.

This fibre is also suitable for felting.
